About the Trip:

We'll overland across the Namib desert, camping under the stars each night in remote wilderness between granite domes and sandy dunes. We’ll fall asleep in a desert so quiet that only the calls of oryxes break the silence, and we'll wake up to morning light painting orange rock gold.

What’s woven into this retreat:
________________________________

Time with the San Bushmen.
Walk with the world’s oldest storytellers through the Erongo Mountains. With a lineage that can be traced back 100,000 years, they are one of the few hunter & gatherer tribes left.

A rhythm of stillness and movement.
Climb the granite domes of Spitzkoppe, then sit still beneath stars. Drive dusty desert roads, pause for a coffee under an acacia tree. Share homemade sangria with new friends, and journal in the quiet moments.

Connection through service.
Back in Windhoek, your group will shop and deliver essentials to local street children — a reminder that leadership begins with empathy, and that impact is personal.

What You'll Leave With:
__________________________

A clearer sense of what you want next.
Not a generic “new job idea,” but a grounded understanding of what you're good at, what matters most to you, and what kind of work and life actually fit your wiring.
For many people, this is the missing piece. Once you have that, it's your compass long after the trip ends.

Built-in 1:1 coaching support pre & post-trip
You’ll have 10 free hours of personal coaching included — normally $150/hour — to help you prepare before you go and stay accountable once you return. Not to mention a peer cohort of new friends that you can text when you’re tempted to back out of a decision you know is right…

A sense of momentum
The kind that comes from getting out of your routine, breaking pattern, and unfixing your identity in a new environment. You return home different — not because the trip changed everything, but because it helped you hear what’s been true all along.

Itinerary

Note: We suggest you first take our Flagship trip in Kenya first.

Day 1 — Windhoek (Arrival Day)
When you arrive in Windhoek, Vas or our driver will meet you at the airport and shuttle you to Urban Camp, our easygoing base in the city with shady trees, a small beer garden, Wi-Fi, and a pool.

Depending on arrival time and energy, opt into a Windhoek orientation: a stop at the National Museum/Alte Feste precinct for Namibia’s big-picture history and a short drive through the Katutura township to meet vendors at the Single Quarters and sample kapana (beef grilled over open coals). Or simply rest, shower, and adjust to the altitude and desert dryness.

In the evening we’ll gather for a casual welcome dinner to meet the group, share intros, and set intentions for the week.

Day 2 — Erongo (San Culture & Wilderness Skills)
After breakfast, we’ll drive about three hours northwest to the Erongo Mountains, a dramatic circle of granite peaks and ancient volcanic domes. Our destination is Omandumba camp, a family-run guest farm & bush camp on a large stretch of remote farmland for some starry-sky bush camping.

As sunset nears, we’ll cook dinner over the campfire. After dark, we’ll go on a scorpion-walk with UV torches to spot fluorescent bark scorpions on the rock—an unforgettable peek at nocturnal desert life. Then we'll enjoy our first stargazing session—Erongo’s night sky is brilliant on clear evenings

Overnight Omandumba (bush camp/campsites among the boulders).

Day 3 — Namibia National Monument Hike
In the morning we visit the Living Museum of the San near Omandumba. You’ll learn bow-and-arrow basics, tracking, plant uses, fire-making, and join a cultural walk guided by San community members.

Then we'll drive to the rust-red domes of a family-run guest farm/bush camp tucked among granite boulders. We'll lace up our hiking shoes for Philip’s Cave, a National Monument with famed San rock art (look for the “White Elephant”). The approach is a scenic walk over granite slabs; we’ll talk desert adaptation, San lifeways, and why these shelters mattered.

We’ll return to camp at the guest farm and have a relaxed fire-side dinner. The light here turns golden as the sun dips, and you’ll understand why the Erongo is considered Namibia’s soul.

Day 4 — Erongo → Spitzkoppe
After breakfast we take a ~1.5-hour hop south to Spitzkoppe, the “Matterhorn of Namibia,” a cluster of golden granite inselbergs rising from the plains. We’ll hike to the Rock Arch for photos, exploring pockets of rock art and wind-shaped alcoves.

We'll have optional rock climbing for anyone that wants to try for the first time. (helmets/harnesses provided; no experience required) You can also opt for pool time or quiet time instead. As the light warms, you’ll understand why photographers love this place. We’ll watch sunset from a granite dome, then camp at Spitzkoppe beneath a sky thick with stars.

Day 5 — Spitzkoppe Learn to Rock Climb
Sunrise options: a dome-top hike of the Matterhorn. The rock is grippy, the views are huge, and the vibe is all encouragement.

The afternoon will feature more rock-climbing with some rest and reflection—journal, nap in the shade, or book a brief 1:1 advisory with Vas to check in on goals. After dinner we’ll hold a campfire workshop on Story, Strengths, and Stretch—naming where you’re strong and where you want to lean in this year.

Day 6 — Spitzkoppe → Damaraland (Petrified Forest)
After breakfast, we’ll pack up and continue north through open desert toward Damaraland — a region of rugged valleys, ancient geology, and desert wildlife.

On the way, we’ll stop at the Petrified Forest, where 280-million-year-old fossilized trees lie preserved in stone — a silent record of Earth’s deep time.

We’ll reach our campsite near Twyfelfontein, home to Namibia’s only UNESCO World Heritage Site of rock engravings. As the day cools, we’ll relax with dinner and stargazing in one of the quietest places on Earth.

Day 7 — Damaraland (Desert Elephants & Rock Engravings)
After breakfast, we’ll explore Twyfelfontein’s ancient rock engravings, guided by a local Damara expert who will decode stories of hunters, animals, and spirits carved thousands of years ago.

In the afternoon, we’ll head out on a guided nature drive through dry riverbeds where you might spot desert-adapted elephants, giraffe, and oryx — wild and free-ranging across the barren landscape.

We’ll return for sunset reflections and another fireside meal beneath Damaraland’s basalt cliffs.

Day 8 — Damaraland (Culture & Reflection)
In the morning, we’ll visit a Damara village to learn about traditional life, crafts, and resilience in this harsh but beautiful land.

Afternoon is open for rest or a creative workshop decided by a group vote. As the sun sets, we’ll share a farewell campfire dinner.

Day 9 — Damaraland → Windhoek
After breakfast, we’ll start our drive back toward Windhoek (about 6–7 hours, with breaks). We’ll stop at small craft markets with the best kudu biltong in S.S.A.

Once back in the city, we’ll check into Urban Camp, shower off the red dust, and enjoy a celebration dinner at a favorite Windhoek spot — cheers to adventure, courage, and new friends.

Day 10 — Windhoek (Service & City)
After breakfast, we’ll head out to shop for supplies and spend the morning connecting with underserved youth in Windhoek — passing out donations, sharing stories, and playing games.

We’ll close our final night with a reflection dinner and group story circle.

Day 11 — Departure Day
Group breakfast and a little quiet time to write final notes, exchange contacts, and say goodbyes. Airport drop-offs will be arranged according to flight schedules.

As you rejoin the modern world, you might miss the desert quiet. Until the next one.
